In September 2021, Sue Burton, Rother Green Party member, was co-opted onto Battle Town Council as a Green Councillor. Apart from sitting on Full Council meetings, she is going to be part of the Environment Committee and the External Relations and Town Development Committee. Sue says “Battle was already trying to be more environmentally aware but I hope to take that goal up a notch”
